T.D. & Jen Oakes

Taylor and Daylie Hunt have spent the last 10 years serving together at Mission Church in Ventura, California, where they developed a deep love for creating spaces where people from every kind of story can experience the hope of Jesus. For Taylor, that calling is personal—his own faith came alive at one of the messiest and lowest points of his life, and ever since, he’s dreamed of planting a church for messy, broken, searching people just like him. Now, Taylor and Daylie are bringing that dream to Denver—a city they love, filled with people searching for connection, purpose, hope, and something more. Along with their three girls, they’re putting down roots here to help create a church where people can come exactly as they are and discover a hope that meets them right in the middle of real life.

T.D. and Jen Oakes have been married for 29 years and have two adult kids and two needy dogs—Scout the Labrador (angel) and Buckley the Beagle (handful). Both raised in Denver, they grew up just miles apart but somehow didn’t meet until college in Missouri. They’ve spent more than 30 years doing ministry together, including helping plant Mission Church in Ventura, California, 15 years ago. Now they’re thrilled to be back home in Colorado for this next (Broncos) season of life, bringing everything they’ve learned and experienced along the way to CityHope—and they can’t wait to see what God does next.
