WHAT WE BELIEVE
IN ONE GOD
who is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (John 1:1-14)
GOD IS THE CREATOR
of all things (Genesis 1:1)
IN JESUS CHRIST
God’s only son and savior of the world. (John 3:16)
IN THE HOLY SPIRIT
who encourages, guides, comforts, and transforms in the way of Christ. (Galatians 5:22,23)
THE BIBLE IS THE INSPIRED
written Word of God and the authoritative rule for all matters of faith and practice. (2 Timothy 3:16-17)
MANKIND
created by God, willfully sinned, and as a result, is lost and without hope apart from Jesus Christ, whose death, burial, and resurrection, opened the way for salvation. (Romans 3:23,24)
OUR SIN
separates us from God and leaves us hopeless. Sin does not just go against what God says, it goes against who God is. (Romans 3:23, 1 John 1:5,6)
YOU
SALVATION
is the forgiveness of sins—comes by grace (undeserved kindness) through faith (belief and trust) in the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross. It is offered to all who believe and put their faith in Jesus. (Ephesians 2:8)
THE BIBLE CLEARLY TEACHES
that all followers of Jesus need to confess and repent of sin, follow the biblical command to be baptized, and strive to daily live a fully surrendered life to Jesus and his way. (Acts 2:38)
THE KINGDOM OF GOD
Is meant to be experienced in the here and now. Putting our faith in Jesus doesn’t just change our final destination, it changes our everyday life. Followers of Jesus are invited to experience the fullness of life with God NOW. (Matthew 4:17)
DEATH
seals our eternal destiny. Those who put their faith in Jesus receive eternal life; the unsaved face eternal separation from God. (Romans 8:1-12, Romans 10:9; John 10:10; Proverbs 3:5,6)
THE CHURCH
Is the Body and Bride of Christ. It began on Pentecost and includes all Christians everywhere. (Acts 2)
are welcome at CityHope Church, regardless of your hurts, habits, or hang-ups. It doesn’t matter what color your skin is, what ethnicity you are, where you have come from, what language you speak, what political party you support, what kind of past you’ve lived or present struggles you have. We can all experience HOPE because of Jesus.
